There’s a company in the US that produces slick, brilliantly scripted, animated explainer videos – and over the years, I’ve often been chosen (through an agency over here) to be the British voice talent for their animations.
Typically, a laid back Californian voiceover artist will have recorded the work first. It has then been my job to provide the UK voiceover version, making sure I strike a similar tone (in my British way) while also hitting the right visual cues.
This project for the Motion Picture Licensing Company had to strike the right balance between being informative and firm, while also being wry and fun.
