What information do I collect about you?
I collect information about you when you fill in a contact form on my website, or email me directly. I may also collect information when we interact on social media.
My website collects information about visitors, like you, using cookies.
The information I collect about you may include: your name, email address, address, project budget, and phone number. My site will also collect your IP address and browser to help filter out spam messages. Your personal information is stored securely on Hubspot and through password-protected programs.
Why do I need your data?
I need your data to run my business and enhance yours with my voiceover services. Without permission to use your data, we can’t do beautiful, creative, audio(visual) things.
So if you fill out my contact form, I will (unsurprisingly) use that information you supplied to contact you directly.
And if you opt in, I will email you periodically with news about my voiceover services. For example, I may email you about new audio and video demos and showreels. This is so you know that I am still available for voiceover work and relevant to your business. I might also use your information to follow up on the voiceover services I’ve provided, and check that you’re happy with the work we’ve produced, and whether it might need updating in the future.
How long will I store your data?
If we work together and I provide paid voiceover services to you, I’m required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for at least 6 years. After this period, I will destroy it.
Unless you tell me that you don’t want to be contacted anymore, I will keep your information for the purposes of promoting my voiceover services to your business.
Marketing
I’d like to stay in touch with you about developments in my voiceover services that you might find are potentially beneficial to your business. If you’ve agreed to opt in to, for example, my emails containing updated demos or videos, you can still opt out. If, in the unlikely event that you don’t want to hear from me anymore, please email me: [email protected]
I use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to keep you up to date on newsworthy things to do with my voice. I collect information about how many emails have been opened and clicked through to help improve my newsletter for my clients. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to my general mailings by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of my emails.
Google Analytics
When someone visits www.chasrowe.co.uk I use another third-party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details about how you, and other visitors, have interacted with the site. I do this to find out how many people are visiting and what they’re looking at and clicking on. This information doesn’t identify you. But it helps me improve my website’s design and content for the future.
What are your rights?
You have the right to ask me for a copy of the information that I have about you. If you’d like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please email me: [email protected]
If your personal information has changed, or is wrong, please email me ([email protected]) to have it updated or, if you wish, removed.
If you’re not happy with the way I’ve responded, or you believe I’m not processing your personal data according to the law, please email me in the first instance, so that I can correct this. You’re otherwise free to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
