Investec is part of the FTSE 250, that is: the top 250 companies on the London Stock Exchange. The video was shown internally to specialist professionals working at the financial services firm.
The script for this financial services voice-over naturally included a lot of technical language and jargon (some of which I was already familiar with from reading the Business section of a particular broadsheet newspaper), so it was important to get across to the listener that I was speaking their language.
The read needed to be smart, professional, business-like and clear, but interesting enough to maintain audience attention throughout.
